Key Responsibilities
- Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Comfortably manage a patient load of up to 5–7 patients per shift
- Provide care to medical-surgical, post-operative, and surgical patients
- Document and manage patient information using EPIC EMR
- May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg, Post-Op, or Stepdown nursing experience required
- Surgical and post-operative surgical experience required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Active Illinois and/or Iowa state RN license required
- Valid Driver's License required
- Must not have been employed at this facility within the last 12 months
- Must have a taxable address at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- At least one travel contract previously completed
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma center environment
- Familiarity with nurse-to-patient ratio documentation on work history
