Contract | Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, and Nights) | Every Other Weekend | Holidays, On-Call, Callback, and Charge as Needed | 17-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide competent, evidence-based patient care in a Medical Surgical float capacity in accordance with established standards
- Assume expanded role responsibilities including charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member duties as needed by the unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry findings as part of ongoing patient assessment and care
- Collaborate with the Nurse Manager and interdisciplinary team to ensure service excellence and positive patient outcomes
- Participate in professional development and research initiatives aligned with evidence-based practice
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State RN License (NY License ONLY)
- BLS Certification – American Heart Association (AHA) ONLY
- Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience
- Telemetry experience required
- Ability to work rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights — no straight shift schedules available
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior float pool or multi-unit nursing experience
- Experience in a charge nurse or preceptor role
- Familiarity with quality improvement or shared governance committee participation
