    Med Surg Float Registered Nurse – Level II

    Contract | Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, and Nights) | Every Other Weekend | Holidays, On-Call, Callback, and Charge as Needed | 17-Week Assignment

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide competent, evidence-based patient care in a Medical Surgical float capacity in accordance with established standards
    • Assume expanded role responsibilities including charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member duties as needed by the unit
    • Monitor and interpret telemetry findings as part of ongoing patient assessment and care
    • Collaborate with the Nurse Manager and interdisciplinary team to ensure service excellence and positive patient outcomes
    • Participate in professional development and research initiatives aligned with evidence-based practice
    Required Qualifications
    • Active New York State RN License (NY License ONLY)
    • BLS Certification – American Heart Association (AHA) ONLY
    • Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience
    • Telemetry experience required
    • Ability to work rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights — no straight shift schedules available
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior float pool or multi-unit nursing experience
    • Experience in a charge nurse or preceptor role
    • Familiarity with quality improvement or shared governance committee participation
