Level II Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Float

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights) | Includes Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, and Callback | No Straight Shift Schedules
Key Responsibilities
- Provide competent, evidence-based patient care in accordance with established clinical standards within a Medical Surgical float setting
- Assume expanded role responsibilities as needed, including Charge Nurse duties per unit needs
- Serve as a preceptor for less experienced nursing staff when applicable
- Participate in committee membership and contribute to professional development and service excellence initiatives
- Apply research and evidence-based practice principles to support continuous quality improvement in patient care
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State RN License (NY License ONLY)
- Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience
- Telemetry experience required
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) ONLY
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a float pool or multi-unit nursing environment
- Experience in a charge nurse or preceptor role
