Key Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, patient- and family-centered nursing care across the assigned Med Surg unit, with potential float responsibilities to other patient care units as needed
• Execute the full Standards of Nursing Practice including assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Develop, implement, and revise individualized patient care plans; coordinate care across disciplines and delegate tasks to appropriate care team members
• Monitor patients via remote telemetry as required by unit needs
• Participate in shared accountability and decision-making for nursing practice standards and the care environment
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations, with scope potentially extending across various life stages depending on unit assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Minnesota RN license (a temporary MN nursing license is acceptable provided a permanent license application has been submitted and the temporary license is held at time of submittal)
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Minimum 3 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Remote telemetry experience required
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations required
• Must be available to work some holidays
• MN DHS Net Study and Fingerprinting required for all patient-facing positions

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with high-acuity Med Surg environments within large health systems
• Experience floating across multiple patient care units
• Strong interdisciplinary collaboration and care coordination skills
