Contract | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts | Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical unit, including occasional pediatric surgical patients (e.g., ENT or orthopedic cases)
- Work 12-hour variable shifts on a rotating schedule
- Float to alike units at alternate facilities as needed, which may be prescheduled
- Be available for on-call assignments; callback minimum is 2 hours
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Comply with all facility infection control policies, including mandatory masking requirements for staff who decline flu and COVID vaccination during flu season
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross
- PALS certification through AHA
- Minimum of 1.5 years of Medical-Surgical experience (2 years preferred)
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Additional RN experience in other acute care specialties
- Familiarity with pediatric surgical patient populations
- Prior experience with EPIC charting system
