    Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 17-bed Medical Surgical Orthopedic unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, caring for patients with diagnoses including hip, knee, shoulder, and spine conditions
    • Read and interpret telemetry rhythms using portable telemetry boxes as needed; complete a dysrhythmia exam as part of unit requirements
    • Collaborate with clinical supervisors, nurse aides, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy staff to deliver comprehensive patient care
    • Float as needed to telemetry (1:4 ratio) and other medical surgical floors
    • Adhere to weekend shift requirements, fulfilling 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule, and participate in the holiday rotation alongside permanent staff
    • Complete one shift of unit-specific orientation prior to independent practice
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
    • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in Medical Surgical or Orthopedic nursing
    • Previous travel nursing experience required
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
    • Proficiency with Cerner EMR
    • Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythms and pass a dysrhythmia exam
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience floating to telemetry units
    • Familiarity with orthopedic post-surgical patient populations including hip, knee, shoulder, and spine
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team player in fast-paced inpatient environments
