Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical units, including orthopedic, surgical, stroke, cardiac, respiratory, dialysis, and hospice patient populations. Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical units, including orthopedic, surgical, stroke, cardiac, respiratory, dialysis, and hospice patient populations
Manage a patient ratio of 1:5–7 depending on patient acuity across a 36-bed unit
Float between two Medical Surgical units (5th and 6th floor) as required
Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Ability and willingness to float between Medical Surgical units
Proficiency with Cerner EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with telemetry, orthopedic, or stroke patient populations
Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
