Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Cardiac/Neuro unit with a typical patient ratio of 1:6
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms as part of routine unit responsibilities
- Care for patients with cardiac and neurological conditions, applying high proficiency in assessment and intervention
- Demonstrate willingness to float to other units as needed
- Participate in holiday coverage, including working two of the designated major holiday periods (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's)
- Complete non-billable orientation prior to beginning independent patient care assignments
Required Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN license (must be current and in hand at time of submission)
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification (must be in hand at time of submission)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Basic Dysrhythmia course completion (strongly required)
- 4+ years of current Medical Surgical / Cardiac / Neuro experience; candidates with Med Surg experience only are not eligible for this role
- Telemetry experience required
- Willingness to float is required
- Candidate must have their own vehicle for this assignment
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health records system
- Strong proficiency with cardiac and neurological patient populations as demonstrated on a current skills checklist
