    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Nights)

    Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a typical patient ratio of 1:6 on a unit of 20–34 beds
    • Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and cardiac rhythms as part of routine patient assessment
    • Utilize Basic Dysrhythmia knowledge in the ongoing evaluation and management of assigned patients
    • Float to any Medical Surgical unit as needed based on census and staffing demands
    • Document patient care accurately using electronic health record systems
    • Adhere to all unit dress code, scheduling, and holiday coverage requirements, including working designated holiday blocks as scheduled
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical nursing experience
    • Telemetry experience required
    • Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
    • Active Massachusetts RN License required
    • Active American Heart Association BLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
    • Active American Heart Association ACLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
    • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
    • Willingness to float to any Medical Surgical unit required
    • Must have own personal vehicle for this assignment
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health record system highly preferred
    • Experience working in a teaching hospital or larger acute care environment
