Med Surg - Registered Nurse (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 12-hour shifts | 13 weeks | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Oncology unit serving adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations across a 32-bed unit
- Maintain patient ratios of 5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
- Document and manage patient records using EPIC EMR
- Participate in every-other-weekend scheduling or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period; no on-call requirement
- Float to Med Surg, Cardiac, Neuro, and Joint Spine units at other campuses in the region as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Colorado
- Medical Surgical nursing experience required
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR
- Ability to float to other campuses and units within the region as requested
- Must adhere to facility call-off policy: if a shift is missed on a weekend or holiday, availability to be rescheduled on another weekend or holiday may be required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with oncology patient populations
- Background in Cardiac, Neuro, or Joint Spine nursing
- Experience caring for a mixed acuity population including adolescents and geriatrics
