    Job Title

    Travel RN – Telemetry (Med/Surg)

    Location

    Overland Park, KS | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 3 shifts per week | 48 hours guaranteed preferred

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 25-bed Medical Telemetry unit serving renal, urology, oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, and general med/surg patients
    • Maintain strict documentation compliance related to central lines, Foley catheters, C. diff, and other HAI prevention protocols
    • Operate unit equipment including EKG monitors, bladder scanners, Hoyer lifts, hover mats, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems; document in Meditech EBCD
    • Participate in Nurse Leader Rounds, including pre- and post-rounds focused on patient experience, safety, and quality measures
    • Maintain patient room tidiness, white board accuracy, and adherence to safety and quality standards
    • Float to like units (Ortho, Neuro, CCU, CDU, SSU, Obs, Rehab) as needed per floating policy
    Required Qualifications
    • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • ACLS certification required
    • BLS certification required
    • Basic Dysrhythmia certification required
    • Minimum 1 year of RN experience
    • Availability to work at least every 3rd weekend
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in a telemetry, medical/surgical, or step-down unit setting
    • Familiarity with Meditech EBCD documentation system
    • Experience with renal, urology, oncology, pulmonology, or cardiology patient populations
    • Strong team-oriented mindset with a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes
