Travel RN – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Expected 36–48 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit serving a primarily adult patient population
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6 with support from CNA and LPN staff
- Document patient care accurately using the MediTech electronic health record system
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized, high-quality patient care
- May be required to float to units within the surrounding area as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Iowa licensure or compact eligibility required
- Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience in Medical Surgical or related setting
- BLS certification required
- HWC (Handle With Care) certification required
- Mandatory Reporter certification (Child and Adult) required prior to start
- Must successfully complete Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions) — no instant or statewide searches accepted; all background checks must be fully cleared prior to start date
- 10-panel drug screening including opiates required
- Titers must be dated within the last 12 months
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification (a plus, not required)
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred but not required
- Familiarity with MediTech EHR
