Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Perform and manage wound vacs, chest tubes, and surgical dressings as part of routine patient care
- Rotate every other weekend as part of the standard schedule
- Float within scope to meet facility needs across like units as required
- Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November), which may be required of all staff and contractors
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
- BLS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse; first-time travelers accepted
- Hands-on experience with wound vacs, chest tubes, and surgical dressings
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience
