Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 26-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
Perform and monitor advanced clinical skills including NG/NJ tube management, chest tube care, and heparin drip administration
Administer medications accurately, including controlled substances, in accordance with facility policies
Monitor and interpret vital signs, laboratory values, and patient status within normal limits
Care for post-procedural cardiac patients returning from the cath lab
Fulfill scheduling requirements including 4 weekend shifts per month; may float to Surgical or Acute Rehab units
Required Qualifications
Active, unrestricted RN license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
Proficiency in medication administration and controlled substance protocols
Competency with standard patient care equipment including Hoyer lifts and rolling VS units
