    Travel Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

    Contract | Travel | Days | 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 26-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
    • Perform and monitor advanced clinical skills including NG/NJ tube management, chest tube care, and heparin drip administration
    • Administer medications accurately, including controlled substances, in accordance with facility policies
    • Monitor and interpret vital signs, laboratory values, and patient status within normal limits
    • Care for post-procedural cardiac patients returning from the cath lab
    • Fulfill scheduling requirements including 4 weekend shifts per month; may float to Surgical or Acute Rehab units
    Required Qualifications
    • Active, unrestricted RN license
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
    • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
    • Proficiency in medication administration and controlled substance protocols
    • Competency with standard patient care equipment including Hoyer lifts and rolling VS units
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • BSN degree preferred
    • Prior Medical/Surgical nursing experience strongly preferred
    • Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
