    Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | Onsite | 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 38-bed Medical Surgical unit managing a diverse patient population including surgical, orthopedic, urological, and general medical diagnoses
    • Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6; must be able to manage a 1:6 ratio, with high patient turnover on days including admissions following discharges
    • Titrate drips including Heparin; administer set-rate drips such as Bumex and Lasix
    • Conduct bedside shift report and perform proactive patient rounding
    • Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, nursing supervisors, and respiratory therapy to support team-based care
    • May float to IMCU for Medical Surgical assignments as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license
    • BLS certification required
    • Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
    • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record documentation
    • Experience with bedside shift report and ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio
    • Experience aligned with the shift being applied for (Days)
    • Must live at least 45 miles from the facility to be eligible
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with orthopedic, spinal, or general surgical patient populations
    • Familiarity with respiratory therapy equipment such as trachs, CPAP, BiPAP, or high-flow oxygen
    • Comfort working with patients ranging from older adolescents through adults across a wide variety of diagnoses
