Key Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver nursing care to Medical Surgical and Telemetry patients
- Maintain the standards of professional nursing practice throughout all patient interactions
- Monitor cardiac drips, read telemetry monitors, and manage post-surgical cases
- Provide care to Adult and Geriatric patient populations
- Supervise CNAs, SNAs, or other assigned healthcare workers as directed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry experience required
- Stepdown experience required
- Experience reading monitors, managing cardiac drips, and caring for post-surgical patients required
- Active Illinois RN License required at time of submission
- BLS/CPR (American Heart Association) certification required
- ACLS (American Heart Association) certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Must be fully COVID vaccinated
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with both Adult and Geriatric patient populations in an acute care setting
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR
- Experience working alongside certified monitor technicians in a remote telemetry environment
