Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical unit in accordance with facility protocols and standards of practice
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver quality patient outcomes
- Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner within the facility's EMR system
- Adhere to facility dress code, including required royal blue scrubs
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Mississippi
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Permanent address located more than 50 miles from the facility
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
- Familiarity with hospital-based electronic medical record (EMR) systems
