Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) required; weekdays flexible
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 25-bed Medical Surgical unit with a night shift ratio of 6:1
- Perform IV placement and Foley catheter insertion as standard unit procedures
- Administer and manage medications using Pyxis dispensing cabinets and IV pumps
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic health record system
- Conduct hourly rounding and adhere to patient experience standards including BSSR protocols
- Float between Medical Surgical units as needed per unit floating policy
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- BLS certification required
- Strong patient assessment skills
- Demonstrated experience with IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
- CPI certification preferred
- Familiarity with remote telemetry monitoring and virtual sitter technology
- Experience with wound VAC and Sara Steady lift equipment
