Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 33-bed Medical/Surgical unit with a day-shift ratio of 6:1
- Operate and manage equipment including IVs, Kangaroo pumps, and SCDs
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Collaborate with a unit support team that includes up to 3 technicians per shift and a unit secretary on day shift
- Float in rotation to other appropriate areas of the facility as needed per unit policy
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Tennessee (or compact license eligibility)
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Proficiency with IV management, Kangaroo pumps, and SCDs
- Ability to work every other weekend as part of the scheduling requirement
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
- Experience in a high-census or fast-paced Med/Surg environment
- Comfort with floating to other appropriate units as needed
