    Job Title

    Travel RN – Medical Surgical (Night Shift)

    Location

    Nashville, Tennessee

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Projected Start: September 14, 2026

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform basic patient assessments and provide general care including wound management, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, and support for stroke and seizure patients
    • Manage post-operative patients following procedures such as amputations, ostomy, oral surgeries, and wound vac placements
    • Administer and monitor Heparin drips, PCA pumps, and dialysis support as needed for the patient population
    • Conduct bedside shift reports, perform safety checks every 1–2 hours, and maintain focus on communication and patient responsiveness
    • Ensure 100% medication scanning including controlled substances, and adhere to HAI prevention protocols including CVC and Foley monitoring
    • Participate in fall prevention initiatives and maintain compliance with attendance and unit policies
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
    • Current BLS certification
    • NIHSS certification required
    • Proficiency with Meditech documentation system
    • Ability to fulfill scheduling requirements including 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block and willingness to float over core staff
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience operating PD Cyclers, Alaris IV Pumps, Hoyer Lifts, and Welch Allyn VS Carts
    • Familiarity with chest tube management and wound vac therapy
    • Experience in a high-acuity Medical Surgical unit with a diverse post-operative patient population
