Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend required | Holiday rotation required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6–7
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic electronic health records
- Participate in every other weekend rotation and holiday scheduling as required
- Float within scope to like units or sister facilities to meet staffing needs as directed
- Contribute to emergency response efforts as required, including potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start date
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical RN experience
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of initial submission; time off requests after submission will not be accepted
- Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with Epic charting system
- Experience as a travel nurse is a plus; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Familiarity with high-acuity Medical Surgical patient populations
