Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 34-bed Medical Surgical unit with telemetry monitoring capabilities
- Manage a patient assignment of 5–7 patients per shift in accordance with unit staffing ratios
- Perform accurate and timely documentation using the Cerner EMR system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver safe, effective patient care
- Complete required Cerner orientation modules prior to start date
Required Qualifications
- Active WV RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending license accepted at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Current NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility (candidates between 75–100 miles considered on a case-by-case basis)
- Minimum of 2 Manager and/or Charge Nurse references from within the past 2 years
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working on a Medical Surgical unit with telemetry
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR documentation
- Strong attendance record; facility expects no more than 2–3 call-offs per contract period
