Contract (13 weeks) | Night Shift | 4x12 Hours (19:00–07:30) | Weekdays and Weekends (3 weekends per 4-week period) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 34-bed Medical/Surgical unit with telemetry monitoring
- Manage a patient assignment within a 1:5–7 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver safe, high-quality patient care
- Adhere to unit attendance expectations; candidates should be aware that excessive call-offs are not tolerated
Required Qualifications
- Active West Virginia RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending license accepted at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- BLS/BCLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Candidates must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility; candidates residing between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with telemetry monitoring in a Medical/Surgical setting
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR documentation
- Strong attendance record and demonstrated reliability in previous travel or staff positions
