Contract (13 Weeks) | Night Shift | 4x12 Hours | 19:00–07:30 | Weekdays and Weekends (3 weekends per 4-week schedule) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 34-bed Medical/Surgical unit with telemetry monitoring capabilities
- Manage a patient assignment within a 1:5–7 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Document and chart accurately using Cerner EMR
- Adhere to unit attendance expectations; candidates should be aware that excessive call-offs (more than 2–3 per contract) may result in contract action
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe, quality patient care throughout night shift hours
Required Qualifications
- Active West Virginia RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending license accepted at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- BLS/BCLS certification required — must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility; candidates residing between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Minimum of 2 Manager and/or Charge Nurse references from within the past 2 years required at time of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in a Medical/Surgical or telemetry unit setting
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR documentation
- Previous travel nursing experience is a plus, though not required
