    Description

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a general medical unit serving a diverse range of medical diagnoses and acuity levels
    • Manage a patient assignment of up to 7-8 patients during night shift in collaboration with nurse aides
    • Administer and monitor IV therapy; attempt IV placement independently before utilizing available IV support resources
    • Perform all respiratory treatments as directed, with respiratory therapy available 24/7 for support
    • Document accurately and thoroughly using Epic EMR
    • Participate in every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday scheduling as required
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN licensure in Connecticut or compact state equivalent
    • BLS certification required
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Medical Surgical or similar setting
    • Epic EMR experience required
    • Prior travel nursing experience required - first-time travelers will not be considered
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with general medical patient populations and a broad range of diagnoses
    • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with higher patient ratios on night shift
    • Familiarity with CPAP management and basic respiratory treatment protocols
