Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a general medical unit managing a broad range of medical diagnoses
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:7-8 on nights, delivering safe and effective care
• Perform and oversee respiratory treatments as nurses are responsible for all respiratory care on the unit
• Utilize IV access skills as required; IV team support is available during daytime hours and nurse resources are available overnight
• Collaborate with hospitalists available 24/7, pharmacy, and respiratory therapy to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Document accurately and consistently using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Medical Surgical or related setting
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Must be available to work every other weekend, including Sundays; candidates unable to fulfill weekend requirements will not be considered
• No blocked schedules; must maintain flexibility throughout the assignment
• No additional concurrent employment during this assignment
• No requested time off (RTO) within the first two weeks of the start date; minimal RTO throughout the assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for general medical patients with diverse and complex diagnoses
• Familiarity with CPAP administration in a medical unit setting
• Charge nurse experience is a plus, as the role may involve shared charge responsibilities
