Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on an Orthopedic Medical Surgical unit
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and treatment plans
- Monitor and document patient conditions, responses to treatment, and progress toward goals
- Adhere to unit protocols, safety standards, and infection control policies
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas or a compact state license
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 1–2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in orthopedic nursing or an orthopedic Med Surg unit
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
