Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care on an orthopedic unit during night shift hours
  • Administer and manage medications using the Omnicell medication dispensing system
  • Document patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic medical records system
  • Participate in weekend coverage on a rotating basis (approximately every other weekend, subject to change based on unit need)
  • Float to like units as needed based on demonstrated skill set and competencies
  • Complete required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements prior to and during the contract period
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or a valid multistate/compact RN license
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in orthopedic nursing
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
  • Must not be a first-time traveler - prior travel nursing experience required
  • Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible at full rate; candidates residing 90-99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates under 90 miles are not eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience in both teaching hospital and community hospital settings
  • Familiarity with Omnicell medication management systems
