Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Rotating Weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations (ages 18+) with patient ratios of 5:1 to 6:1
- Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans with minimal supervision
- Operate and monitor equipment including telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, bladder scanners, and Dynamaps
- Document patient care accurately using the Cerner electronic health record system
- Occasional float to like units as needed
- Maintain compliance with facility dress code, hand hygiene policy, and infection control standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Michigan RN license required prior to start
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Current ACLS certification required
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment and take appropriate, timely action
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience on a Medical/Surgical unit strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Cerner EHR
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and related acute care equipment
