    Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Nights)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Rotating Weekends

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations (ages 18+) with patient ratios of 5:1 to 6:1
    • Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans with minimal supervision
    • Operate and monitor equipment including telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, bladder scanners, and Dynamaps
    • Document patient care accurately using the Cerner electronic health record system
    • Occasional float to like units as needed
    • Maintain compliance with facility dress code, hand hygiene policy, and infection control standards
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Michigan RN license required prior to start
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience
    • Current ACLS certification required
    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required
    • Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment and take appropriate, timely action
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience on a Medical/Surgical unit strongly preferred
    • Familiarity with Cerner EHR
    • Experience with telemetry monitoring and related acute care equipment
