Key Responsibilities
Provide direct and individualized nursing care to a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients, based on scientific nursing principles
Consult and coordinate with the health care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications via oral, subcutaneous, and IV routes; report adverse reactions in accordance with facility policy
Monitor and adjust specialized patient equipment; interpret and record electronic displays, vital signs, and medical information accurately and in a timely manner
Initiate and deliver patient and family education plans as prescribed, including post-treatment home care instruction and illness/injury management guidance
Perform bedside care duties including dressing changes, catheter insertion, IV starts, and participation in discharge planning; respond to life-saving situations per nursing standards and protocol
Required Qualifications
Active Wyoming RN license or a multi-state RN license (must be provided at time of submission)
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Medical Surgical nursing
Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (must be provided at time of submission)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior travel nursing experience
Previous experience working in a community hospital setting, either in a permanent or contract capacity
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
