    Travel RN – Medical Surgical (Nights)

    Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct and individualized nursing care to a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients, based on scientific nursing principles
    • Consult and coordinate with the health care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
    • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications via oral, subcutaneous, and IV routes; report adverse reactions in accordance with facility policy
    • Monitor and adjust specialized patient equipment; interpret and record electronic displays, vital signs, and medical information accurately and in a timely manner
    • Initiate and deliver patient and family education plans as prescribed, including post-treatment home care instruction and illness/injury management guidance
    • Perform bedside care duties including dressing changes, catheter insertion, IV starts, and participation in discharge planning; respond to life-saving situations per nursing standards and protocol
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Wyoming RN license or a multi-state RN license (must be provided at time of submission)
    • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Medical Surgical nursing
    • Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (must be provided at time of submission)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior travel nursing experience
    • Previous experience working in a community hospital setting, either in a permanent or contract capacity
    • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
