Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Float (Nights)

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate total nursing care for an adult-geriatric patient population in a medical surgical float capacity
- Float between inpatient Med Surg units as assigned, including potential unit changes within a single shift
- Participate in patient and family teaching to support care plans and discharge readiness
- Work cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and interdisciplinary patient care team members to maintain professional nursing standards
- Must be prepared to work stepdown unit when needed, including management of cardiac drips and other stepdown-level practices
- Document and manage patient care using the Epic EMR system
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Hampshire
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Experience with cardiac drips and stepdown practices required
- Must be willing to float between Med Surg units and accept unit changes during a single shift — block scheduling will not be accommodated
- Must have own reliable vehicle for this assignment
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ICU RN background — ICU-trained nurses will be considered for this float role
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
- Experience in a regional referral or multi-unit hospital environment
