    Travel RN – Medical Surgical / Transplant Nephrology (Days)

    Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | 13-Week Assignment | Projected Start: August 24, 2026

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct medical-surgical nursing care to patients on a 20-bed Transplant Nephrology unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
    • Collaborate with unit secretaries, patient care technicians, and a unit educator to deliver safe, patient-centered care
    • Coordinate and support care for patients with renal and kidney transplant needs, with dialysis performed off the unit
    • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the Meditech electronic documentation system
    • Participate in weekend staffing rotation (3 weekend shifts per month) and adhere to unit float policies as applicable to contract staff
    • Partner with virtual nursing support, which handles patient admissions remotely, allowing bedside nurses to focus on direct patient care
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
    • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a Medical-Surgical setting
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Experience with med/surg nursing care principles and practices
    • Willingness to float per contract staff floating policy
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in nephrology, renal care, or kidney transplant nursing
    • Familiarity with dialysis patient care coordination
    • Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
