Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Three 12-hour shifts per week | 48 Hours Guaranteed | Projected Start: December 14, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 23-bed Orthopedic/Trauma unit with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5
- Care for post-operative patients including knee, hip, and shoulder replacements, as well as trauma patients and neuro overflow
- Operate and monitor specialty equipment including traction, fixators, and cooling equipment
- Document patient care using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Conduct bedside shift reports and perform hourly rounding in accordance with patient experience requirements
- Float to other Medical Surgical level-of-care units (General Med Surg, Nephrology, Neuro/Trauma) as needed per floating policy; contract labor is first to float
Required Qualifications
- Active RN License (must be valid for the state of Missouri)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
- Ability to work 3 weekend shifts per schedule period
- Compliance with required dress code: navy scrubs
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Orthopedic nursing experience strongly preferred
- Telemetry (Tele) experience
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification or familiarity
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center or Comprehensive Stroke Center environment
