Travel RN – Medical Surgical / Transplant Nephrology (Days)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 48 Hours Guaranteed per Week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Transplant Nephrology unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Deliver comprehensive med/surg nursing care including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Collaborate with unit secretaries, PCTs, and a unit educator to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Utilize Meditech electronic documentation system for accurate and timely charting
- Fulfill scheduling requirements including 3 weekend shifts per month
- Be prepared to float to other units per facility contract/agency floating policy
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Experience in med/surg, nephrology, renal care, kidney transplant, or dialysis
- Ability to work in a Level 1 Trauma designated facility
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with kidney transplant patients and post-transplant care
- Familiarity with renal/dialysis patient populations (note: dialysis is performed off the unit)
- Experience using Meditech documentation systems
- Background working in high-acuity med/surg or specialty nephrology environments
