    Travel RN – Medical Surgical (Transplant Nephrology) | Night Shift

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Projected Start: August 24, 2026

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct medical-surgical nursing care to patients on a 20-bed Transplant Nephrology unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
    • Deliver post-transplant and renal-focused nursing care, coordinating with interdisciplinary team members including PCTs and unit educators
    • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the Meditech electronic documentation system
    • Fulfill scheduling requirements including 3 weekend shifts per month
    • Participate in unit float rotation as required per contract nurse floating policy
    • Collaborate with virtual nursing support staff who manage patient admissions, allowing bedside nurses to maintain focus on direct patient care
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
    • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Experience in medical-surgical nursing
    • Familiarity with nephrology, renal care, and kidney transplant patient populations
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience with dialysis patients (note: dialysis procedures are performed off the unit)
    • Experience working in a Level 1 trauma-designated facility
    • Proficiency with Meditech or similar electronic health record systems
