Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 77-bed Medical Unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:8 on nights
- Operate and monitor equipment including Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes
- Work various shift lengths and days as required; flexibility is essential
- Float to additional units as needed, including a cardiovascular unit and a general medical unit
- Adhere to professional nursing attire and facility dress code standards
- Complete unit-specific orientation and training program prior to independent assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active State of Hawaii RN license required by assignment start date
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proof of flu vaccination or facility-approved medical/religious exemption required prior to contract start
- Ability to work flexible schedules with no guaranteed hours or shift preference
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Up to 10 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
- Experience with wound vac management and chest tube care
