Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care across a 40-bed unit during overnight shifts
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using the MEDHOST EMR system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support positive patient outcomes
- Adhere to unit-specific protocols; no call, no floating, and no mandatory 48-hour shifts required
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be valid for the state of Texas)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Medical Surgical experience required
- Immunization titers must be in hand at time of submission
- Must live greater than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Familiarity with MEDHOST or similar hospital EMR platforms
