Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Night Shift)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Rotating Weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 14-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Operate and manage IV therapy using Alaris pumps and other unit equipment
- Document and manage patient records using the MEDITECH EMR system
- Assist with and support procedures including bronchoscopy and EGD/colonoscopy
- Collaborate with a team consisting of RNs, PCTs, and a float charge nurse coordinator on both day and night shifts
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification
- Rhythm interpretation skills
- Flexible, team-oriented personality well-suited to a collaborative unit environment
