    Key Responsibilities
    • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions, plans of care, and patient goals in a Med/Surg setting
    • Safely administer medications and intravenous therapy in accordance with physician orders, protocols, and established policies and procedures
    • Provide patient and family education based on identified learning needs, readiness to learn, and barriers to learning; collaboratively plan and prepare patients for discharge
    • Interpret and document patient cardiac rate, rhythm, and configuration, initiating appropriate treatment plans based on provider orders
    • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot surgical patient equipment including traction/orthopedic devices, feeding pumps, chest tubes, and drains
    • Proactively identify risks to patient safety, report errors and incidents appropriately, and ensure thorough and accurate documentation of all pertinent data and therapeutic interventions
    Required Qualifications
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
    • Current Massachusetts RN license
    • ACLS upon hire, OR active BLS with ability to obtain AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire
    • Demonstrates mature professional behaviors including tact, empathy, and diplomacy
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • 1 year of Med/Surg experience
    • 1 year of Telemetry experience
    • 1 year of Pediatrics experience
    • PALS certification
