Job Title

Travel Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Ortho Neuro)

Location

Fort Worth, TX | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 4 weekends per 4-week period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Ortho Neuro Medical Surgical unit with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Support patients undergoing procedures including total knees, total hips, laminectomies, fusions, ORIF, ACDF, and VP shunt revisions
• Utilize spine and orthopedic braces and related equipment as part of routine patient care
• Document patient information and care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Float to Med Surg areas as needed based on census and staffing demands
• Collaborate as part of a team-oriented unit alongside charge nurses, CNAs, and support staff

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Texas or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Meditech EMR experience required — candidates without this will not be considered
• BLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Spine and/or orthopedic nursing background strongly preferred
• Relevant nursing certification (e.g., CMSRN or orthopedic specialty certification)
• Strong teamwork orientation and ability to adapt in a dynamic, census-driven environment
