Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts Preferred (3x12 Also Considered) | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Every Other Weekend | Holiday Rotation | Call Rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / General Surgery unit with patient ratios of 1:6 (occasionally 1:7)
- Participate in every-other-weekend scheduling, holiday rotation, and on-call/call rotation as required
- Float within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs as directed
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Be prepared to participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November), with peak activity in August and September
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (SC license must be active prior to start date)
- BLS certification required
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; time-off requests after submission will not be accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of RN experience in a Medical Surgical setting strongly preferred
- ACLS certification preferred
- First-time travelers will be considered, though experienced travelers are preferred
- Candidates available to work holidays are given priority consideration
