Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 28-bed Medical/Surgical unit with a 1:4–5 nurse-to-patient ratio, managing general medical patients including those with sepsis, COPD, bowel obstructions, CHF, and related diagnoses
- Titrate drips including insulin and heparin infusions as required
- Monitor telemetry independently using a centralized remote monitoring system accessible via Ascom app; ability to read strips preferred
- Collaborate with CNA support staff (1 CNA per 10–14 patients) and coordinate care within the unit
- Float within the regional hospital network as needed, supporting additional facilities within the designated region
- Adhere to unit-specific orientation requirements and maintain compliance with dress code standards
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) state licensure
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Ability and willingness to float to other facilities within the regional network as needed
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2+ years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- BSN degree preferred
- Experience reading telemetry strips independently
- Familiarity with titrating insulin and heparin drips
