Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend and Holiday Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient medical-surgical nursing care to adult trauma, medical, and surgical patients across a 32-bed unit
- Perform assessments, patient education, and clinical skills documentation using EPIC electronic health records
- Utilize unit equipment including AcuDose and other inpatient tools as required
- Float to Medical Surgical units across multiple facility locations within Fargo as needed
- Participate in self-scheduling while maintaining unit balance requirements; expected to work every other weekend and holiday
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting (Level 1 Trauma Center, 200+ beds)
- Active North Dakota RN license or Compact RN license required
- Active BLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic documentation
- Experience working in a busy Level 1 Trauma Center
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with orthopedic trauma and hip fracture patient populations
- Familiarity with Joint Commission (TJC) certified program standards
- Ability to adapt to rotating day and night shift schedules based on unit needs
