Perform and manage clinical skills including remote telemetry monitoring, chest tube care, NG/PEG tube management, straight cath/Foley insertion, ostomy care, Heparin drips, blood/blood product administration, tracheostomy care, and PCA management. Perform and manage clinical skills including remote telemetry monitoring, chest tube care, NG/PEG tube management, straight cath/Foley insertion, ostomy care, Heparin drips, blood/blood product administration, tracheostomy care, and PCA management
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health records
Float within skillset to a sister campus location as needed, with a minimum of 2 hours notice provided for cross-campus float assignments
Adhere to weekend and holiday rotation requirements (three weekends per six-week schedule; every other holiday)
May be required to precept nursing students and new hires as this is a teaching facility
Required Qualifications
Current, active Registered Nurse compact license
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
NIHSS certification
Minimum of 2 years of recent, strong Medical-Surgical experience
At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
Trauma Level II experience
Recent EPIC charting experience (checkoff class will be required upon start)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills with demonstrated ability to manage a high-acuity Med-Surg patient population
Experience with remote telemetry monitoring and management of complex drips and wound care devices
Adaptable, resilient, and team-oriented with strong interpersonal communication skills
