    Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-Hour Shifts)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 41-bed Medical-Surgical unit serving a post-surgical, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, and CHF population
    • Perform and manage clinical skills including remote telemetry monitoring, chest tube care, NG/PEG tube management, straight cath/Foley insertion, ostomy care, Heparin drips, blood/blood product administration, tracheostomy care, and PCA management
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health records
    • Float within skillset to other campus locations as needed, with a minimum of 2 hours notice provided for cross-campus floats
    • Adhere to weekend and holiday rotation requirements (three weekends per six-week schedule; every other holiday)
    • May be required to precept nursing students and new hires as this is a teaching facility
    Required Qualifications
    • Current, active Registered Nurse compact license
    • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • NIHSS certification
    • Minimum of 2 years of strong Medical-Surgical experience
    • At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
    • Trauma Level II experience required
    • Recent EPIC charting experience required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills with the ability to manage change effectively
    • Experience with high-acuity Med-Surg patient populations including sepsis and post-surgical care
    • Demonstrated professionalism, resilience, and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
