Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Day Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | Expected 36 hours/week (48 hours/week available upon request; overtime may apply after 52 hours on 48-hour contracts)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 41-bed Medical-Surgical unit serving a post-surgical, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, and CHF population at a 1:4–5 nurse-to-patient ratio on day shifts
• Perform and manage clinical skills including remote telemetry monitoring, chest tube care, NG/PEG tube management, straight cath/Foley insertion, ostomy care, Heparin drips, blood/blood product administration, tracheostomy care, and PCA management
• Utilize strong assessment and critical thinking skills to manage a complex and high-acuity patient population
• Float within skillset as first to float; may include mid-shift float within the same campus or cross-campus float to nearby facilities with a minimum 2-hour notice provided for cross-campus assignments
• Adhere to weekend and holiday rotation requirements: three weekends per six-week schedule and every other holiday
• As a teaching facility, this role may require precepting of students and new hires

Required Qualifications

• Active, current Compact RN License required
• AHA BLS Certification required — must be attached upon submittal
• NIHSS Certification required — must be attached upon submittal
• Minimum 2 years of strong Medical-Surgical experience required
• Minimum 1 prior travel assignment required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Recent Epic EMR experience required (checkoff class will be required upon start)
• Must live at least 40 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing high fall risk patients and complex comorbidities such as COPD, CHF, and sepsis
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to change, work resiliently in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with cross-campus float environments and multi-site health system workflows
