    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (12-Hour Nights, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care to a Medical-Surgical population including post-surgical patients, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, and CHF cases
    • Perform and manage clinical skills including remote telemetry monitoring, chest tube care, NG/PEG tube management, straight cath/Foley insertion, ostomy care, Heparin drips, blood/blood product administration, tracheostomy care, and PCA management
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health record system
    • Float within skillset to other campus locations as needed, with a minimum of 2 hours notice provided for cross-campus float assignments
    • Adhere to weekend and holiday scheduling requirements, including three weekends per six-week schedule and every other holiday
    • May be required to precept nursing students and new hires as this is a teaching facility
    Required Qualifications
    • Current, active Registered Nurse compact license
    • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • NIHSS certification
    • Minimum of 2 years of recent, strong Medical-Surgical experience
    • At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
    • Trauma Level II experience
    • Recent EPIC charting experience (checkoff class will be required upon start)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills with the ability to manage a patient ratio of up to 1:6–7 on night shift
    • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change, work resiliently in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
    • Experience working in a teaching hospital environment, including precepting students or new staff
