Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per-shift basis
Monitor and evaluate patient responses to care and adjust plans accordingly
Supervise staff to whom appropriate care has been delegated
Support facility nursing leadership to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care
Contribute to competency evaluation and development of clinical staff
Assist with appropriate resource management related to patient care at the unit level
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or compact eligibility
Experience in a Medical/Surgical nursing setting
Demonstrated ability to assess and manage patient care needs across a shift
Ability to delegate and supervise clinical staff appropriately
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in an acute care hospital environment
Familiarity with quality and safety initiatives at the unit or facility level
Experience supporting or collaborating with nursing leadership
