Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per-shift basis
Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, adjusting care plans as needed throughout the shift
Supervise and delegate appropriate care tasks to supporting clinical staff
Support nursing leadership in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate patient care
Contribute to competency standards and appropriate resource management at the unit level
Required Qualifications
Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact eligibility)
Experience in a Medical-Surgical nursing setting
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to supervise and delegate to clinical support staff effectively
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in an acute care hospital environment
Familiarity with quality and safety initiatives at the unit or facility level
Experience working night shift in a high-volume Med/Surg unit
