Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit in an acute care setting
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Float within scope of practice to other units or sister facilities as needed to meet staffing demands
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license (no license hits; pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience; first-time travelers not eligible
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- EKG Course / Telemetry Competency Test required
- NIHSS certification required
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the contracted facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Med/Surg or Telemetry setting
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health records system
- Demonstrated ability to float comfortably across multiple units or care settings
